During the 48-hour discussion window that followed the assessment post, the community reviewed our comprehensive risk assessment for USDT0 (Omnichain USDT, operated by Everdawn Labs in partnership with Tether and LayerZero).
Community Sentiment:
Overwhelmingly positive
No rejections
Strong support for extending USDT liquidity from launch
Engagement with the cross-chain considerations we raised
The discussion highlighted what made the case for USDT0:
Mechanical Backing - Every USDT0 is backed 1:1 by USDT locked in the Ethereum OFT Adapter. Burn on any chain, unlock on Ethereum
Track Record - $100B+ moved since January 2025 with no loss event, across 990,000+ transfers
Security Review - Audited by Guardian, Paladin, OpenZeppelin, ChainSecurity, Zellic and OtterSec, with a $6M Immunefi bounty
Distribution - ~$3.5B supply across 29 deployments, with no single chain holding more than 25%
Clean Integration - Standard ERC-20 on EVM chains, so no changes to Stabilizer’s constant-sum AMM
Our Protection - A dedicated Chainlink USDT0/USD DEX State Price Stream lets our emergency depeg fee price USDT0 on its own liquidity, not by proxy
The Conditions We Set
We rated USDT0 Low to Moderate, a step above our USDT rating, because a cross-chain messaging layer sits on top of the underlying asset. The community supported the listing with that framing intact.
Three integration conditions come with the approval:
Price from the USDT0-specific Chainlink stream, never from USDT/USD alone, with a fail-closed fallback if the stream pauses (tracked only during depegs)
Lockbox solvency monitoring, comparing USDT held in the adapter against aggregate USDT0 supply, as a hard circuit breaker
Alerting on DVN configuration changes, contract upgrades, and rate-limit or pause events
What This Means
USDT0 is now an approved asset on Stabilizer.
Rollout follows the L2 path. USDT0 will arrive with the L2 testnet launch (ahead of Phase 2), where it will be added and enabled for trading. After successful testing and validation, it will be deployed and made tradable on L2 mainnet.
Looking Ahead
The Risk Framework continues to guide our decisions. USDT0 is the first cross-chain asset to go through this process, and the conditions above set the pattern for how we will evaluate bridged assets going forward.
This feels like a solid step forward. I really like that the approval isn’t just based on community sentiment, but also comes with clear safeguards around pricing, solvency and cross-chain risks.
USDT0 on the L2 testnet should be a pretty interesting addition to Stabilizer.
Really good update for Stabilizer. USDT0 adds another strong piece to the ecosystem and opens more possibilities for Phase 2. Big appreciation to the team for the continuous work and progress. Looking forward to testing it early.
this is a solid step for stabilizer.
i like that usdt0 wasn’t added just for more liquidity, but with clear risk conditions and monitoring in place.
the l2 rollout will be interesting to watch.
This is a solid step forward for Stabilizer. I really like that the community consensus came with clear risk conditions rather than simply approving USDT0. The dedicated price feed, solvency monitoring, and alerts make the integration feel well thought out. Looking forward to seeing USDT0 go live on the L2 testnet.
This is a strong addition to Stabilizer. I like that USDT0 is not being treated simply as another stablecoin, but is going through a dedicated risk assessment with specific safeguards.
The USDT0-specific Chainlink price stream and lockbox solvency monitoring are especially important. Since cross-chain infrastructure introduces additional risks, having a fail-closed mechanism and monitoring for DVN changes, upgrades, and pause events makes the integration much more convincing.
I’m also interested to see how USDT0 performs on the L2 testnet, particularly how the additional liquidity and cross-chain nature affect pool activity and the zero-slippage experience.
Looking forward to testing it when the L2 testnet launches.
The Stabilizer community agreed to add USDT0 (USDT that works across many chains) after a two day talk about the risks. They will first put it on the L2 test network and will use its own price feed, check that it stays fully backed and watch for any big changes.
Solid process here — love that the Chainlink USDT0/USD stream prices off its own liquidity instead of piggybacking on USDT/USD. The lockbox solvency circuit breaker is the real safety net though. Curious how often that gets checked once L2 mainnet goes live — real-time or periodic?
Great addition here, USDT0 adds real cross-chain liquidity, but what stands out is the risk framework: it’s own price feed and alerts on bridge changes. Looking forward to testing it on L2.
Great outcome for Stabilizer. Strong community support while keeping the right risk controls in place. Looking forward to seeing USDT0 go live with the L2 rollout
