Extending Phase 1 Testnet Whitelist: Community Expansion Before Launch
Status: Open for Community Feedback ![]()
We’ve been evaluating the possibility of extending Phase 1 Testnet whitelist access to reach more of our community, and we believe this is the right strategic move before Phase 1 launch.
Rationale
As Stabilizer has grown, we’ve seen:
-
Strong community interest from newer members - People who discovered Stabilizer after Phase 1 allocation and have become active contributors
-
Geographic expansion - Community growth across regions that had limited testnet participation initially
-
Institutional interest - Organizations exploring how Stabilizer’s zero-slippage mechanics work for their infrastructure
-
Demand for testnet access - More people wanting to test zero-slippage mechanics firsthand
Rather than keeping the Phase 1 Testnet extremely limited, we’re opening it up slightly further to build on this momentum and strengthen the protocol before more advanced stages.
Your Beta Tester Status Remains Valuable
This extension doesn’t dilute the value of being an early beta tester.
You’ve earned your Beta Tester role through early participation and contribution. That credential stands. Your accumulated experience, and your position in the community are not affected by this expansion.
Adding more participants strengthens the protocol without diminishing what you’ve already built.

Why This Matters for the Protocol
Early supporters remain first-class users. New entries are complementary participants, not competitors. Expanding Phase 1 Testnet strengthens the protocol by validating your early decision to test Stabilizer and building a more resilient community heading into more advanced stages.
What We’ve Accomplished in Transition Phase
Before expanding further, we’ve already validated our community-driven approach:
Structured Community Feedback We surveyed 4,000+ beta participants to understand what matters. The results shaped our roadmap and confirmed the product status. Read the full analysis: https://medium.com/@info_64583/stabilizer-beta-testnet-community-feedback-report-0c1beff5e410
Risk Framework Published We released a comprehensive framework for evaluating and onboarding new stablecoins. This transparent process ensures every asset is rigorously assessed before joining Stabilizer: Stabilizer Risk Framework: Onboarding New Stablecoins
First Asset Approved PYUSD (PayPal’s stablecoin) passed our risk framework and community review. The P-Pool is ready for Phase 1 live, proving our asset evaluation process works: PYUSD Approval: Consensus Reached
These wins show what’s possible when the community guides protocol decisions.
The Concrete Benefits
Expanding Phase 1 Testnet strengthens the protocol by:
-
Increasing the diversity of feedback you’ll receive
-
Creating more transaction flow for you to benefit from
-
Building a stronger community heading into mainnet
-
Giving you the chance to mentor newer participants
Benefits of Whitelist Extension
Protocol Validation
-
Stress-test with larger participation - More users equals more transactions, better data on mechanism performance
-
Diverse trading patterns - Zero-slippage design validated across different user behaviors, strategies, and participation levels
-
Better edge-case discovery - Larger user base surfaces issues earlier, before mainnet
Community Health
-
Inclusive growth - More community members get direct access to test the protocol
-
Global representation - Better participation across time zones and regions
-
Stronger feedback loop - More voices equals more comprehensive protocol feedback
Network Effects
-
Use case diversity - Different types of traders and LPs test different protocol aspects
-
Community stickiness - Participants who test early stay engaged longer
-
Organic advocacy - More testnet users means more people sharing their experience
Product Improvement
-
Better UX testing - Larger beta group identifies UI and documentation gaps faster
-
Risk assessment validation - More users testing multiple stablecoin pairs simultaneously
-
Launch confidence - More data, more validation, stronger mainnet readiness
Launch Readiness
-
Confidence in infrastructure - Larger testnet load equals higher confidence for mainnet
-
Team preparedness - More feedback equals a better prepared team
-
Documentation refinement - More users equals more clarity and completeness
Testnet Priority List
We’re moving through Phase 1 in stages to maximize protocol validation and community participation:
Current Stage: Transition Phase (Transition from Beta to Phase 1)
-
Gathered structured feedback from 4,000+ participants -
Published Risk Framework for asset evaluation -
Approved first new asset (PYUSD) through community consensus -
Extending Phase 1 Testnet whitelist to reach more community and institutional participants
-
Maximum 48-hour window for whitelist extension
-
Screening process ensures legitimate participation
-
Maximum of 50,000 total participants (including already whitelisted users)
Next: Phase 1 Launch Date Announcement
-
Once whitelist extension closes, we’ll communicate the exact Phase 1 launch date
-
Community will have clear visibility on when testnet goes live
Final: Phase 1 Launch
-
Full testnet live with all participants
-
Begin stress-testing mechanisms at scale
-
Gather comprehensive feedback before mainnet
The Process
Timeline: Maximum 48-hour whitelist window (matching the original Phase 1 allocation window)
Limit: Max 50,000 total participants (including already whitelisted users)
Screening Process:
-
Automated checks for duplicate accounts, suspicious patterns, and bot behavior
-
Manual review of entries to verify legitimate community participation
Fairness: All entries treated equally after screening approval. First-come, first-served basis with automated filtering.
What This Doesn’t Change
-
Beta Testers maintain their Phase 1 Testnet access and status -
No removal of existing whitelist spots -
All participants subject to same risk framework and safeguards -
Beta Tester role remains exclusive to early participants
